FlyKnit Nike's

Nike/ Selfridges (you can buy here)

I haven't worn a pair of trainers since I was in P.E running riot in my school playground, and even then, I still think I tried to get out of it by wearing plimsolls. I've never been too fond of trainers, I don't whether it's because I'm too much of a girly girl and into wearing pretty heels that kill my feet and not the sporty girl that opts for comfort. Or because I just believed that any other shoe is going to look 100 times better with that outfit than strapping on trainers to my feet. The only trainer-like style of footwear I liked were converse. I lived in them between the ages of 9-13 in my more grungy days of Avril Lavigne.

Recently though, I have been open to perhaps experimenting a little bit more with trainers. They've come a long way since when I used to remember them as the old Reebok classic and White Air Force 1's.

So one night my boyfriend and I are shopping in Selfridges and he decides he wants to buy himself his first pair of trainers... he's a converse lover too. He settles with a Classic Black pair of Nike's (to go with everything in his wardrobe that is black of course).
I definitely had to try them out now to see what I thought of them... And obviously it happened to be the first pair I tried on which I loved straight away.
The FlyKnit style trainer features woven fabric allowing for a supportive and breathable fit. I was torn between buying the classic black which I could get more use out of or this Bright Citrus Pink which makes the trainer somewhat a bit more special and more of a statement to wear. You could probably already guess the ones I went for being someone mad on colour.
I couldn't believe the comfort the shoes gave me, I felt like I could bounce around in them all night. So that's exactly what we did. We both couldn't wait to wear them so we changed into our brand new purchases and wore our first pair of trainers home together ... :)

Nicholas Kirkwood

Does anyone remember their first pair of heels? I remember mine. I can tell you the very first time I wanted my first pair, I was 6 years old, in Spain, fixated on the little Spanish singer we see every year, every summer, in her sparkling, glitterball red shoes. You could say they were identical to Dorothy's "No place like Home" shoes in Wizard of Oz. I used to sit on the stage where she would sing, eyes glued to her feet, (she had tiny feet, almost as tiny as my 6 year old feet...) the way they'd sparkle and dance around to the Spanish maracas. After the whole summer dreaming about these red glitter heels, she ended up giving me a spare pair that she had. I was so happy! You can imagine I wanted to wear them all the time. But still at the age of 6, I was only allowed to click clock around in them indoors.

I also remember the first time I got my first ever pair of Nicholas Kirkwoods... :D
I went along to his sample sale last week, and being very near to Christmas I tried to stop from buying for myself. And, I did really well... until I eventually gave up and whilst heading towards the exit, I saw them, and that was it.
Game Over.
I picked them up, tried them on, without hesitation, without looking back, took them to pay. 1 pair of Nicholas Kirkwoods purchased just like that.

I felt like I was 6 again, clomping around in my glitterball red shoes like a Spanish Senorita... (Damn, if I was writing this post on my iphone, the lady in the red dress emoji would be much appropriate right now).

NEW BUYS#FOREVER21

Forever 21-Hat- £6.65/Knit Top~ £16.95/V neck Tee~ £3.475/Leather Shorts~ £12.50/Sweater- £22.75

Today I went into Forever 21 on Oxford Street and was completely suprised at how much I loved their stuff! I've been in the store in New York and when it first opened here in London and wasn't a huge fan. But when I came across it this morning the window displays were very eye catching! I think I spent over an hour taking in all the clothes and dazzling accessories at all affordable prices! I bought this lime bobble hat for the winter to wear perhaps with an all black outfit to inject a splash of colour! You can never have too many plain white t-shirts to make up an effortless outfit! I absolutely LOVE this black sweater, the texture is so unbelievably soft! It's an obvious statement piece to any outfit, I can't wait to wear this especially now the temperature is dropping fast in London!

NEWBIES

ZARA SALE- OKAY so I've been pretty reckless with my money recently. This week I've been spending way to much on shopping. Working in Covent Garden it gives me the instant oppurtunity to go shopping after work at the high street shops H&M, Zara, Urban Outfitter..etc. It doesn't help especially now that Zara have there sale starting today.. I was rushing around like a mad woman picking up anything I liked. I really need to learn to resist and say no when it comes to new clothes.

So here are my newbies I bought today: Floral shorts- £19.99/ White Denim Shorts-£25.00/ Mint Blouse- £15.00/ White Dress- £25.00/ Black sheer Hi Lo dipped hemed dress- £30.00

I couldn't possibly pick my favourite but I love the denim white shorts, an essential for the summer. I'm still massively obsessed with the colour mint, the dotted texture to the blouse is so cute. I intend to have a whole section in my wardrobe decicated to mint garments. Utter heaven. I also really love the black dress, I've wanted something like this for a while. I love the endless possibilities of how you can wear the dress.. The sheerness gives you the chance to wear different things underneath to change up your outfit each time. Which is your favourite?

NEW BUYS

I can't express how happy I am to have found my studded shoes from Topshop for £29.99. I've been trying to find the black ones for ages and I come across the last pair in my size...fate? :D I went into H&M and found these gorgeous blue and white dip dyed shorts for £19.99.. they look so funky and fresh I just had to buy them for the summer. My best friend gave me this playsuit the other day, it's lovely and bright and the black really gives it that sense of sophistication. Just have to wait patiently now for the summer weather to kick in to wear theeem :( 2 weeks today until Zanteee!

NEW PURCHASES

1. Black and white dress from AX- Paris- I wouldn't usually go for a dress this style but there was something about the simplicity that made it look really chic and sophistcated. I love the black detailing on the front too.
2. I've finally bought my cross earrings from Topshop :D yayy
3. I bought these gorgeous white chiffon trousers from Zara to wear in Vegas. The colour white has been a soft spot for me recently, it just looks so classy and makes a classic statement. These trousers feel so soft against your skin, perfect for a warm evening. They'd go lovely with a white top  and tan heels :)
4. I also bought this mint blue/green peplum top from Zara to wear in Vegas. I've needed a mint garment to fill my wardrobe for quite some time and this peplum studded top won me over. The studs add a great edge to the flared top.

What do you think of my new pieces?

A-X PARIS PEPLUM DRESS

Hey everyone! Thought I'd show you all this gorgeous yellow peplum dress I received from A-X Paris. Peplum style dresses are a massive trend at the moment and at only £30 it makes a perfect evening dress. This style suits any body shape and is very flattering on petite, slim girls as the peplum style adds shape and curves to your figure enhancing your waist area. It fits me like a glove and is so comfortable to wear. It's completely coincedential that I've been wearing bright yellow in both my recent posts but what can I say I do love a bright colour to stand out in the summer.
If you haven't already have a browse on ax-paris website http://www.axparis.co.uk/ They have an amazing new summer collection!
