LITTLE VENICE

My Sunday stroll took place in Little Venice in London. I have been waiting and waiting to visit and as the sun sat in the sky that afternoon I dragged myself and my boyfriend out of bed to walk along the canals and catch some breakfast. We found a little cafĂ© on a boat that served simple sandwiches/Panini's and hot food from full English breakfast to jacket potatoes...Just what we needed after a rather late night out, and we were feeling some-what fragile.
This location is so pretty on a Spring/Summers day. Everyone had the same idea too, riding their bike along the canals and families enjoying an afternoon overlooking the river. I loved taking a slow walk along the edge of the water thinking about which boats I'd choose if I had to pick which one to live in. They are so adorable. It would be such an adventure to have a house constantly on the move. To wake up to a new view every-day. A girl can dream.

I have yet to go to the real Sinking City -Venice, that is next on my list (fingers crossed) Or actually just Italy in general. I know how much I'd love it, the food, the culture, architecture. So until then, this place will just have to do until I go to Venice.

Happy Sunday everyone! I spent mine with my family spoiling my lovely mummy on Mother's Day. We had a delicious afternoon tea made up of finger sandwiches, scones, Prosecco, and way too many cakes that I could stomach. It was definitely a sweet sunday.

Happy Mother's Day to the best mummy in the world

peplum

TGIF? It terrible when you know everyone's Friday feeling feels like the Monday feeling to you. Yes, another working weekend for me. Today I got off early so I had to take advantage of the beautiful weather in London and shoot a quick outfit. Honestly, when you're working in uniform 5 days a week, I want to dress up nicely on my days off. Even if I'm staying in at home and strutting around in heels. So be it.
I pulled this outfit together really quickly which is surprising!Knowing me I'm always sitting in front of my wardrobe pulling out my hair saying I have nothing to wear. I always hope the outfit will just jump out at me. Today though, I knew I wanted to wear this peplum skirt, so I worked around it. I remembered this top which goes perfectly with the skirt; same colour, with similar embroidered quilt-like fabric.  Hope you like :)

I was watching Grease last night and was so inspired by their style. 1950's is definitely by far my favourite era. Elvis was King, people drunk milkshakes everyday and everyone used to go to drive-in movies on a Saturday night. Think I was born in the wrong period. Today I decided to wear my black billowing skirt. I love how chic the crisp white shirt makes the overall look.

Check out this new Irish Folk Duo I've only just discovered. Hudson Taylor. I'm so addicted. I'm actually going to Ireland for the weekend so I hope I can find two guys like these to serenade me :D

summer orange

DENIM FLARE  Today I decided to switch it up, ditch the jeans and go for my midi denim skirt. It's just as comfortable as your best pair of jeans... When I describe this skirt to anybody they screw their face up and think of a stiff, bulky and well.. granny-ish skirt. But it's the complete opposite. I love the pop of orange against the blue.
